The Children's Medium Pony Hunters started their division Saturday at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival presented by Zimmerman Advertising, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
Eight-year-old, Kylie Geddes, of Jacksonville, Fla. was one of many excited ribbon winners. Kylie took home the blue ribbon in the over fences class on her nine-year-old, gray mare, Look At Me. Kylie is assisted by trainers Andrew Lustig of Savannah, Ga. and Suzie Humes of Wellington. "I just got her a few weeks ago," Kylie said. "She is a really good pony. I felt that I rode well today." The red ribbon for over fences went to Maria Yzerman, 9, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. aboard the 22-year-old, gray mare, Lucky Too owned by Rachel Herrowitz and training with Hillside Farms also of Bloomfield Hills. The Under Saddle blue ribbon was won by Colby Wood, 11, of Dover, N.H. and the chestnut pony Kate Spade, an eight-year-old mare owned by Gold Medal Farm of Providence, R.I. Colby and Spade ride with Holly Hill Farm, Marstons Mills, Mass. "My pony hacked beautifully," Colby said. Second place went to Katherine Strauss of New York and the Heritage Farm pony, Satin. Katherine trains with Kristina Muse of Bridgehampton, N.Y.
